Circumcision pain – the answers below are what you can expect?
- A surgical procedure is done under a local painkiller.
- You will not feel any pain during the procedure.
- When the painkiller wears off, you may experience a little pain.
- Lastly, our nurse or doctor who performs the procedure will provide you with painkillers to help you deal with pain.
Most patients go home the same day after the surgery. Your penis may swell and bruise for the first 2 days. It is generally not very painful, and over-the-counter pain relievers are all you usually need to ease any discomfort. You will probably have a dressing over the area or over your entire penis.
