Circumcision wounds and how to treat a new circumcision?
Removing the dressing can be easier!
- Firstly, sit in the bath or shower for 10 minutes.
- Secondly, unravel the bandage completely.
If you experience any of the symptoms listed below seek immediate medical care:
- You have loose stitches or your circumcision wounds open up.
- You have signs of an infection, such as:
- Increased pain, swelling, warmth, or redness.
- Red streaks leading from the area.
- Pus draining from the area.
- A fever.
- You have symptoms of a urinary tract infection (UTI). As a result, these would include:
- Pain or burning when you urinate.
- A frequent need to urinate without being able to pass much urine.
- Pain in the flank, which is below the rib cage and above the waist on either side of the back.
- Blood in your urine.
- A fever.
- You have signs of blood clotting in your leg (called a deep vein thrombosis), such as:
- Pain in your calf, back of the knee, thigh, or groin.
- Redness or swelling in your leg.
- In addition, you experience pain that does not subside after you take pain medicine.
- You cannot urinate.
- You are sick to your stomach or consequently cannot drink fluids.
- Lastly, bright red blood starts soaking through the bandages.
